anyone know iner axleshaft and outer stub lengths of either chevy or dodge front d60s? :emb:

the inner shafts are diffrent lengths between a chev and a dodge, the outers are the same. and I make a drive plate for the dodge if you want to put in 35 spline outers.

i know theyre different,do you happen to know the lengths of eihter? im trying to figure out how feasible it would be to use d60 axleshafts in my 1.5" 35 spline d70 if/when i brake the stock ones.

tell me about this drive plate you make :) my hub is an 8 bolt,extrnal mount.will your drive plate work? how much do you want for them? i am interested in running 35 spline outers.

since you have so much good info,any ideas if i could use a d60 hub on the d70 spindle,so i could use internal mount lockouts? :D

yea. even though the spicer book doesn't show a 21 spline with a 5-332x I have seen some 70 fronts equipped this way. I had a friend who's 70 front which came from early 70 IH truck had the 5-332x's in it. As for switching the hubs.I am not for sure.I think it is possibility.If you have a friend who will let you borrow their 60F bearing hub to check it out then you will be in luck..By the way do you happen to need a new 21 spline stub for a spare? I have one and I don't know how I came to have it..I will sell it cheap ...say 20 bucks plus shipping? let me know if interested.good luck and let us know if the hubs swap.:D

hmmm.my 70 is also from an early 70s IH. i do have a friend with a ford d60,so as soon as we have time to take it apart ill check into the hub swap.ill let ya know what i find out.

the stub you have takes the 332x joint? sure,ill give 20 plus shipping. just check on the shipping and email or PM me your address and ill send ya out a MO.
