i recently bought a 97 wrangler and i have a noise coming from the front that needs looking in to. it only makes a slight noise when u first begin to roll and the noise stops only seconds after i begin rolling. to me it sounds like it could be a u-joint but i wanted to be sure before i changed anything. i had the bearings checked and i also a brake job too.
the noise is actually a small vibration or grinding type of feeling more than an actual noise and it goes away as soon as u get rolling so i was wondering if anyone may have an idea of where i should look first. the jeep is an automatic with only about 50,000 miles on it and has hardly ever been driven off road. it does have a 3 inch sky jacker suspension lift and a two inch body lift and i have 35 inch super swampers on it. ive driven from florida to louisiana several times with it, without any problems but i would like to find out what this noise or vibration is before it worsens and possibly leaves me stranded. if anyone has any idea or info please let me know.
thanks in advance

I would suggest putting your wrangler on jackstands and then looking for a loose component in the suspension/driveline

or

take it to Pep Boys, they are the experts:flipoff2:

Wrong place to post. Delete this and move it over to the newbie area.

Now that that is out of the way, As stated above....jack stands and check all moving parts. Check for excessive play in unit bearings, all u-joints etc....
