: Is a 36" TSL-SX worth $50 more than a TSL

Trying to make a comparison but there are no dealers in town with these in stock to make a side by side comparison.

I'm trying to decide which one is the better Mud Tire
( hardly any rock crawlin' around here)

The Interco site unfortunately has artist renderings instead of actual pictures, so I'm not sure if the treads are identicle with the exception of the sidewall treads of the SX.

According to Interco's site the SX's stand 35.9" tall and 13.3" wide 22/32's tread depth.6 ply rating.

The standard Bias Ply TSL Swamper is 36.3" tall x 13.5" wide 24/32's tread depth. 8ply rating ...and $200 cheaper per set/4

I'm torn, as I really like Taller, Wider and Deeper Tread and lower price of the SS. I've also heard the voids are larger and will likely clean better than the SX...but The sidewall lugs on the SX are good for getting out of deep ruts.

I'm currently on 35" M/T-R's that will be my Daily Driver street tires so the TSL's will never see much ashpalt time. Boggers are also a consideration...but I think are too heavy and too agressive for my D30 front...not to mention $$$

Anyone run the Mud in both that can say whether it's worth $200 more to go to the SX, or will I be just as happy with the SS and put the other $200 towards some spare axle shafts? :D

If you're mainly in mud save your cash and get the regular TSL.

However, if I was running mainly mud I'd get a bogger, no questions asked.

I have had several sets of TSL's and really liked them....never had sx's .I would probably spend the x-tra 200 on something else and run TSL's

Lot of people really like the SX for the sidewall protection/lugs, probably helps in mud, but maybe not $200 worth of help...

SXs were designed more towards rock crawling. If your going to do mostly mud just run the standard TSL

Thanks Guy's

Looks like 36" TSL Swampers's ,for now....

....until next year when I'll probably chop off fenders, swap in 60's, then end up getting 38.5x14.5 SX's anyways

...may as well admit it now, I once swore I'd never go more than 4" of lift and 33's ...that lasted a whole 2 years  Then 1 year on 35's now moving to 36's....guess it never ends huh?

Never.... :D. I'm tired of my 'lil 35's already, and they've only been on for about 3 months.. That's as big as I'm goin' though with the stock axles....

I know what you guys mean.. my 35's are really small, and I hate the idea of getting another new set of 35's, but I don't have the clearance yet to go bigger. However, I did just aquire a daily driver.. just gotta do a little work to it. and stick the 8.8 rear in the jeep for now, and wheel the piss out of it, then go 60/14 bolt, with 38's and a D300... LOL

SXs will wear a little faster and are a bit rougher. I'd say stick with TSLs. $200 will buy a lot of tube....
