I am new to the Isuzu world here but not to 4x4's and lift kits. My knowledge is in Ford Rangers and Bronco II's. I am purchasing an 88 Trooper II (2.6 - 5speed) that has a fresh motor and is very mechanically sound. I am looking for information in regards to suspension lifts something 2-3 inches, the truck will be a daily driver but I would like to run a tire bigger than the stock 235's, maybe a 30" or 31" AT. I have seen some posts where guys run 33's on the stock suspension, but just want to get as much info as I could before I think of spending $500-$600 on a lift not to mention $ on bigger boots.

Hey man, i just bought a 88 trooper w/ 2.6 5spd and I got 31"MT and they fit perfect on the stock susp. I plan on getting the 3" indepentent4x.com kit soon but for now, it works quite well. And this is my DD.

They even have enough space that I was able crawl over some rocks when I was playing in the mud the other day...
