so I go to this ol' coots estate sale, and score a 35 year old sand blaster, and this grinder. BOTH in awesome condition. I have never used a grinder this powerful. Thing pulls serious amps while spinning up. Will run 220 or 110v. Anyone know this brand? Continental?

Are you joking?
That grinder is meant to be run on 430 volts 3 phase:flipoff2:
Kidding aside, that looks like exactly like my Duracraft. It *should* be 110v.
That data plate will tell you all sorts of useful information like: serial number, input volts, max. amp draw, and cycle.

hence how I new the amps/voltage etc etc..
I have just never heard of "continental" and a google search revealed nothing.

I see my mistake now. I interpretted "will run 220 or 110" as the question "is it 220 or 110?"

I'm bringing a 5 year old thread out again. Does anyone have any information on Continental brand grinders? I can't find any mention of them on the internet.
My guess is it is made in Taiwan. What else is there to know?

If it works I think thats all you need to know. If it doesn't take it to a electric motor shop and see what it costs to get it repaired. If it costs too much throw it in the garbage.
