It is a thin wall spindle nut socket and is $10 at 4wd hardware, also at most any auto parts store.

I would just order it up from 4WD Hardware, I think they will even ship it for free. Remember to get a thin wall socket. I tried all my local places and found a 2 3/32" (I think) It is not the perfect size but it works,I paid about $19 @ CarQuest.

Just save your self the running around and order it, you could order you bearings at the same time, slightly cheaper then Carquest or NAPA and will definetly get the correct bearing instead of what the computer says at you local parts store.

That diagram that 4wd hardware has for the dana 30 bearings and brakes is a big help in getting the thing back together in working order, if you have never done this before.

good luck

That all depends if you're talking about a CJ Dana 30 or a YJ/TJ Dana 30!!!! CJ's are 2-3/32".

Just go to your local auto parts store and get one. Autozone even rents them.

ahhh, just checking the size. I see.

Hope its not a bronco D30. I tried taking one apart only to find that they use the dana44 style round nut w/ the 4 slots. Just throwing that info out :flipoff2:

I'll second Trango @36mm on a YJ D30 front

Biggest socket in my toolbox. :p
