Got a basic one:
Will D30 YJ knuckles go onto an 97 TJ D30?
Reason is I picked up some YJ knuckles with M.O.R.E. high steer.
I have a 97 airlocked TJ d30 (Its only a trail rig with 31's) I want to put these
knuckles on it and pop it in my 2000 XJ.

Yes. Only difference is YJ is high pinion and TJ is low pinion. Same tubes and knuckles.

am I wrong, I very well could be, but I thought that the YJ (theres a year break off I think) has a smaller hub/unibearing, meaning that theres a smaller axle and ujoint. I am almost certain that theres a yr break somewhere in the YJ years of this issue.

Just be sure to use your axles and hubs.

IIRC, the only difference between the YJ and TJ axle is the vacuum disconnect and the u-joints. The YJ's used a 260x u-joint, while the TJ's upgraded to the 297x u-joint. Other than that the axle shafts shafts should have the same spline count on the ends. That is why the YJ owners upgrade to TJ shafts or aftermarket shafts to get the larger u-joint.

cool to know. But the hub's are different part numbers between say the 93 YJ and the 2000 TJ? I do hear though of the YJ's swaping the axles over to TJ's for the 297/760 ujoints for strength. But so the hubs are interchangable between either axle and Knuckle combo then?

You have to swap the hub unit bearing and brake rotors together. In I believe late 99, they switch to a different back spacing on the rotor and unit bearing had a taller wheel mount. So as long as you use the same year rotors and hub bearings you'll be fine. There is about an 1/8 to 3/16" difference between the two.
