Loves it madly. I just bought an old Toyota, stripping it down right now and trying to fit 3-across seats behind the fronts.

Considering the amount of frame twist I see in longbed trucks on the trail, there is going to be a high torsion load between the front and middle hoop. Is that a factor to you?

How 'bout throwing an other axle in the middle? With a open diff it might steer normal. For somthing this huge why not 3 rockwell's, the front & rear steering and middle non-steering. All with 53's, it would be like having two jeeps hooked together with one axle missing. :vader2:

It's a great idea machine. My only querrie is how are you going to get it to the trailhead? Flat tow? On a 3 axle gooseneck 5th wheel? You certainly won't be driving it there, at least not in the daytime. 8<)

for a big old cruiser like the rubibus don't see the camo 60 being a reasonable option over rockwells

Probably not for the rubibus, but I think the dude was making a much more general comparison than that. Simply put, the two axles are not comparable in strength.

FOR THE PRICE you cant beat a rockwell, was what I was trying to say, the camo 60 is stronger but I dont see droping 20 grand into a giat party mobile:flipoff2:

If i might offer some constructive criticism:

The motor looks a little small, perhaps a Merlin V12, from a jet fighter.

The colour scheme is a little funny, the bright pink, needs to be on ALL surfaces, no intermingled with rust splotches!

The 53" do indeed look small!

we are waiting for the 53 tires to be delivered in a few weeks.

it is mostly done and gets wheeled at pismo often. however there are some other upgrades planed including 53 tires, fuel injection and maybe rockwells. also waiting for new beard seats
