Ok so I just got this back half on an 68 International frame for it's springs.
On mine I'm going to use the new springs with a shackle flip
one problem is that I cant get that fwaking bolt out of the springs at the end, the 35 year old ruber bushings are holding it in and the bolt aint budging it just kida bounces
have you had this problem and how did you solve it
thanks

heat it up with a torch till it starts burning then knock the shit out of it. just the bolt not the spring end. mike

What up Chief!! :D
Get a drill bit that is a little smaller diameter than the bushing is thick. Then drill the snot outta the bushing, till it looks like swiss cheese. Get the BFH and pound that bolt out. I had to do that to each and every damn one of the bushings on my rear Cruiser springs (Where the torch was not an option because of the rear gas tank) :D:D:D:D

Just use the hot wrench.
Heaat it up until the bushing melts and then just pull the thing out. It would even work with a propane torch..
Mapp gass would be better.

Chief- MAPP gas.
Sometimes if you heat the bolt/inner sleeve just right, you can sqeeze the bushing out, turn it into smoke and smell, if not it just takes a little longer.
