v6toy4x 11-24-2005, 02:35 PM I have a complete 1985 3.8 buick SFI turbo v6 it has the riviera turbo hsg for a lower install height. engine had the heads and intake all removed for inspect so it will need all new gaskets and assembly. It is currently assembled on engine stand, comes with computer and harness $300 located in union city Ca Budd 11-29-2005, 05:58 PM How many miles on it? Overall condition??? v6toy4x 11-29-2005, 09:47 PM it has approx 95K. It was in my neighbors buick riviera that got rear ended in front of his house. I bought it from him to replace the carb'd 3.8 in my toyota at the time but never got to it. I took off the heads and intake to peak inside all looks ok heads and intake are sitting back on the block but will neeed to be re-installed ie new gaskets. motor is complete minus the following: 1. oil pan-any 3.8 pan will work 2. accys; alt starter p/s pump smog pump I don't remember it having one but maybe it did? 3. Ex manifolds-I have 2 sets of 3.8 manifolds which might be a good start to hook up the turbo? all else is there ie. injection/ sensors/ computer/ harness(factory)/auto flexplate/alum valve covers/water pump/timing cover/etc. I am trying to get some time to photo this along with several other items I am trying to get out of my garage. P.S. all the ports exhaust intake etc. have been taped off top prevent any thing from getting inside the motor.
