I don't make a habit of welcoming Newbies, or trashing them, but I am always glad to see the females, our supporters, joining us. Wish mine would catch the bug!:(

woody 03-22-2002, 05:19 AM Mike, my wife not only has the bug, but she "tells me" I'm competing at the ProRock in Attica in August and that she wants to get in the drivers seat this summer and prep to compete next year! Gonna be a GOOD year! :D
Oh, and :flipoff2: welcome newbie! The search button and my website are your friends. Post a pic of yer rig in my readers rides!
fj40guy 03-22-2002, 07:42 AM Welcome aboard. :D
Hmm, 35... perfect for "catch and release". :p I'm 43 and have zero interest in a pair of 20 year olds.... 40 is more like it. Good sense of humor wins any day. ;-)
SpaceGhost... have you let your wife take the wheel with a girlfriend? One thing I noticed years back was it was hard for a friend to drive when I was in the car. I didn't say a thing, but probably that  expression and white knuckles kept her from enjoying herself! Easier to jump in with a buddy, and let someone else ride with her. :)
Lorie was pretty good, but decided she wanted to drive the Rally Car at one point. I knew the road well, and was able to count her into the corners pretty good. Yes, we had a "lead vehicle" a head of us on a transit area. We were working the event and heading out before the first competitors. Well, sure enough on one section of road I told her "flat out, don't let off" as we came around a little too quickly. Spun off the road and into a ditch! Uh oh. Got the tow rope out, waiting for the first car to come up on us. Just my Luck.... Rod Millen. He had been watching us from a distance, and complemented Lorie on her driving (she was good and fearless... yes I had a cage in the Mazda!!!). After that she was on clouds... and ready to go again. Sometimes it just takes a little confidence and off you go.
A good friend is in Carson City, NV. Ya, she would be game for some wheeling in her FJ60, but she commented on not feeling comfortable with a bunch of guys she hasn't meet before, Unless they all are GQ models. :D

Welcome newbie!
My fiancee used to wheel her toyota PU prtty well then she got nervous all of a sudden. Now she walks most trails but I am working on her...
Tom,
I have some really good friends in Carson that she could go wheeling/exploring/arrowhead hunting with if she was interested. No perverts allowed :D
