I'm trying to decide on some good shocks for my rig. I'm tired of wasting money on cheap generic shocks. I want to get something good thats tuneable and rebuildable.
Yes I've searched and not found really usefull opinions on shocks.
I'm considering 5 options: Fox 2.0 Res. and emulsion, Bilstein 7100 Res. and emulsion and the Dynatrac/Walker adjustables.

Rig is a Grand Cherokee with 60s and 37s.

What shock would you recommend and why?

TIA

Brett

Thanks, I'm now enlightened.

I've run twin tubes and they didn't last a year. I've tried Trailmaster SSVs and Es3000s. I'm trying to find a good tuneable shock that will last and give me the results I'm looking for.
If anyone has any useful info I'd love to hear it.

I realize a Grand is not a tube buggy but its what I run.

Fox makes an awesome shock, Fairly easy to take apart and revalve. You should add Sway A Way to your list of options as well. As far as Res. vs Emulsion, that really depends on what kind of wheeling you do. If your going to be going fast a lot, and really heating up the shocks, Reseviors are a must. But for most rockcrawling applications, you usually aren't going fast enough to heat up the shocks, so they're not really necessary.

I have the 2.0 reservoir. Avoid the non-res versions, as the damping medium (hydraulic fluid) becomes emulsified. Plus, with the satellite accumulator, it's a far easier rebuild -

Ahm not sayin, just sayin
