Howabout it BillJohn, you've got CJ's all around, don't you? Are the CJ's gonna be good for axel wrap as well?

They are just 1/4 inch plates welded outside the stock spring hanger. Along with the missing links in the rear, the extra length of the spring is accomodated.

I have Dana 44s front and rear, I used chebby blazer front drive shafts with 6" slip and 1310 joints (CV). Since the axles stays in the stock location, the only this to watch for is too much flex pulling the stock shaft apart...I don't have any experience in that area...

What do you mean "shackles laid back"?

WHY NOT MOVE THE AXLE BACK?

Its only an inch and a half! Ever little bit helps in wheelbase .
But then things arn't that tough out on the east coast are they?

LOL:flipoff2:

Do a search for my YJ swap, there should be some decent pictures. My mounts look like Gozuki's. I just used a long shackle.

Sorry, I only have them on the front axle... the rears are a custom stack of rear zook main leaves with a mix of zook and cj leafs.

ok, so i think i will go with yjs and move the axle about .5-.75" back, not too much, here we don't have much rocks, but lots of hills and mud, so inorder to not ge high centren on the top of hills you need a short w/b or big ass tires, and the cops are cutting down on people with tires over 35"s...........
thanks for all the help........gotzukis pics helped alot...........so simple now........:D just need to find a set of springs.........
next week or so i'll have a set......i hope......
