I want to get some pitbull rockers 37x13.50 but have a 15x8" rim is that alright or do I need to get a 10" rim. The rockers will be for the trail only and I'm going to run staun beadlocks in them.

it should be fine, i have 14.5" on an 8" rim, it was a bitch to get on, and i have to run at like 15 psi on the street to keep tread flat, but i can air down to just about nothing and it never pops a bead. go for it, if you dont like it you can always have em mounted on some 10" rims at a latter date

Shouldn't be a problem. I've been running 33x15.5 TSL SXs on 15x8 rims for years. The only time you may come into a problem is that if you decided to run them on the highway alot you might get excessive wear in the center of the tread.

they are a bitch to mount, some places will not mount a tire wider than 1 1/2 times the width of the rim, so check with whoever is mounting them. If you are doing it yourself try a RedBull first.:D

So I take it there is no rule? Just ram cram jump up and down on the tires and then get the bead set and rock them the same on the trail got it.:smokin:

Sorry, don't mean to hi-jack, but I've been wondering about this for some time. I've got a set of 285/75 R16s (about like a 33"X11.5") on 16"X8" rims, and when these go, I want to get something around 35-36" on the same rims. I was thinking about 315/75 R16s (about 35X12.5") but the guy at the tire store told me that they are too wide to mount on my 8" rims. I don't want 10" rims because I want the rims protected and I don't want 'em to be sticking out past the sidewall as seems to be the trend around here. I also don't want a tire wider than 12.5" (11.5-12" would be better for me) so the 8" rims are here to stay. My situation is a little different than 2000Xs since this is my DD and it sees alot of (very) high speed driving in addition to trail duty. Is my tire guy full of crap? Any thoughts? Again, sorry to hi-jack.

well as stated above, some places will nto mount this kinda tire for you on a 8" rim. but if it were me id run em, just take a lil time to find the right tire presure to make sure the tire is in full contact with the ground
