try roadless gear then. i got one and the bracket was very well made and the customer service was sweet. compared to buying a new suzuki alternator, its 50 or so bucks cheaper and you get an extra 60 amps :D

If the Oilburner don't hook you up- I have a RRO bracket & a Autozone 94 amp GM I'll let go cheap. I went back to stock kick alt w/ dual optis to run the winch.

Interesting. I read thru that bracket link and the problems listed sounded exactly like what i was going thru. Boiling batteries and alternators burning out frquently. I went thru 3 GM alts in less than a year before going back to stock so I just put the bracket on the shelf. So for all you guys runing a GM alt now, did you re-wire it the way the article said?

The way it is wired right now has shown no problems so far.My amp guage reads 14.5 all the time with no spikes or drops in charging as far as I can tell.I will keep an eye on it.Did you have your fusable link put back in?Just asking.:usa:

I've been wanting to do this swap for awhile, so if any of you still have a bracket up for grabs, drop me a line.

No fusible link, it looked melted so I replaced it with some wire. Does the fuesable link actually provide some resitance?

Not sure if it does or not.But it may just be the link that solves that problem. You never can tell.:usa:
