Well, its something with me and charging problems. But this time, I cant solve it. I need a diagram of the charging system of a older Ford. To show where the wires go. From the altenator to the regulator and so on. Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Was just mapping this out for a rewire this weekend. On the alternator, the big stud connects to the battery, the smaller stud near it (labeled "F" possibly) goes to the "F" on the regulator. The third stud on the alternator is a half-voltage output that goes to the carb choke.

On the regulator, the A terminal connects to the battery, the F terminal connects to the alt as stated above, the I or 1 terminal goes to a switched ignition source. Some regulators have a 4th terminal that doesn't seem to be important.

As always, make damn sure the ground points are clean and solid, or even run grounds from all parts to a common point. I make sure to run battery cable from the battery to the frame, body, and engine so there's no guessing.
