Hey, I just picked this up last night and would like to find out a little more about it. It is a Black & Decker, 3/4 hp. That is all I know now. I would love to nail down an age on it. Check out the super cool reto brass push button switchs! :D The wire weel is good but the stone has been abused, may be able to save it, but I might just replace it. Pretty good buy for $20, Huh??

I spent a grand total of $40 and also bought a like new 30' retractable hose reel, a heavy duty drop light reel, a 6 inch "overseas/ no-name" 5 speed drill press in like new condition, a small drop light reel that I wall mounted and put a plug on it (for light duty stuff) and about 500 clean shop rags. :grinpimp: Oh yea baby...:flipoff2:

Nice haul.

Look on the data plate of the grinder to see if there are any patent dates. I'm guessing 50's.

Here is all that is on the plate other than the Black & Decker name & address info:
-----------------------------------------
NO: 4325 Type: A Phase :1
120AC Cycles Amps
60 9.75 3600 rpm
50 10.0 3000 rpm
Ser. no: 4270430 3/4 hp
-----------------------------------------
That is all the info I have other than the ghost shape of the old octogon designed embelm on the front.
