I was just on lunch from work and I was taking a friend to pick up his car from the alignment shop here in longmont/hygiene....I couldn't resist!
Spidertrax had their new rock buggy sitting outside. I wish I had a camera, damn that thing is cool, the full tube frame/chassis is really sweet! I couldn't stay long but I did find out that the whole thing ( including 35 inch muds ) weighs 2200 lbs. Those rigs are even more impressive in person than in pictures! They had about 6 mostly tube framed buggys on trailers...like they were gonna go play :(

I have been thinking about getting a samurai, but I can't. I have a scout II that I am in the middle of building ( soa, highsteer, custom axle shafts, lockers, gears....blah blah) so that is taking all my money. But, maybe I will decide to use it as a tow rig for a zuk later on!

The zuk seems like an ideal starting point for a rock buggy....what are the weaknesses of the stock samurai, what should be upgraded first?

Went there on Wednesday. That buggy is sweet. As for the rigs on the trailer, they'll be taking those to Moab for EJS. :) ~Steve
