Just wondering if anyone is running biodiesel in any of their trucks. I have a friend with a 99 F350 who is interested. He has a 7.3L Powerstroke in his truck. Just wondering if anyone has had luck with it or if it creates more trouble than it's worth. Thanks.

Filled my 2002 Ford 7.3 PS with 100% Soy Diesel. No problems noted. Quieter at idle and plenty smooth. Be careful, acidic biodiesel will cause damage to the injectors.

It is not hard to make the biodeisel from grease, it is harder to get the grease more than anything. If you do use the biodeisel you have to introduse it slowly and change out the fuel filter, because it will clean out the tank and lines from all the built up goop from the regular deisel.

I have not run it, but every new Jeep liberty comes factory with 1/2 a tank full of it, and 1/2 a tank of regular diesel, and a friend has one and he tries to run the biodiesel in it as much as he can, he says he gets better overall performance out of it.

Im on my second tank of it w/ my 96. It runs alot different!!! alot smoother, less BLACK smoke when i lay on it. I think it is worth it just knowing your not supporting big oil or a towel head :)

The gel point on 100% bio is pretty high so you need to be careful running it when cold. Here's a little info. to digest.http://biodiesel.org/resources/fuelfactsheets/default.shtm
