Very little heat is generated by the EECIV Computers. All of the heavy current switching is done outside the box with the Computer Power relay. You might want to consider using a ventilation fan, on a relay switch,(iether controlled by a T stat or the "ignition on" circuit). But you shouldnt have any problems, as long as you dont put it close to another heat source.

Make sure you vent the box.

Probst says just to mount it in cab and up-side-down, but thats for a hot-rod, not a 4x4.

Have a pic of the box your using? I;m not sure what to do with mine yet.

I just mounted mine up under my dash - it is pretty high so my whole truck would have to go under water.

I got a spare too :)

think you could fill the computer with silicon to protect the circuits or would that just make it hotter?
