anyone had to replace theirs? the one on my ranger is shot (and caused all other bearings to go as well). not sure how long the problem has been going on as i just got the truck recently.

Any ideas on what the rest of the tranny may need if the bearing has been out for a while? i hear they are hard to get parts for.

I'd say if you're replacing stuff in the trans you might as well give it a full rebuild as you're there and it's more of a PITA to pull it later than do some stuff now.....but I guess it depends on what it's used for...DD/wheeler? How many miles?

I got all my parts form Rockwell Stanard Gear. I had to buy the input cluster and the main shaft cluster. Which is basically the main internal gear sets/shafts. THis was on a mazda in a F150.

Pay attention to how things come aprat inside them as it will only go back one way. Don't leave any of the small parts out or drop them like al the little clips, thrust bearings/washer...and what not. A exploded view would be helpful too.

right now this is a DD, but I need it running. my intentions were origianlly to pull the motor, klune and 205, and one tons out of the bronco and put them in, but now is not the time.

its got 180K on the original tranny, so it may be toast.
