: Who has the best looking sammie

Chubby1

Just wondering if anyone wanted to know who has the best looking sammie
all you have to do is post your a pic of your sammie and everyone can judge each one for themselfs, the winner will be determined by the number of responces to that pic. But there are rules you can only post one pic so it better be good!!!!
So if you are up for a little fun then post a pic
Chubby:D :flipoff2: :) ;) :smokin: :rasta: :roxy: :emb:

hopefully someone else will post some pics.

I give my vote to Mud-Lite , the best lookin / performing zuk ive ever seen . (Just needs different paint)
If it was still alive I would say that rig "Boggeria" with Dana60s and 44" boggers and a V8 was the all time best rig .

Ye it was a Hard Top , till I rolled it, and flattened to roof. Took me about 3 weeks of evenings and weekends to complete the conversion, complete with cage and body work. Did it all in my laneway. Just had to watch for kids when I was welding :D

Is it worth it ?no. Did I want to do it ? No. Did I have fun doing it? Yes!!!!!!!!!!:flipoff2:

You know, speaking of "testing the limits of Jap tech?" We just finished up dropping in a new Briggs and Stratton into my brother's hardtop. What a joke. We lowered it in by hand while a buddy held the trans up. When I pulled the 1.6 out of my 'Kick, I literally pulled the keys off of my Clevis key chain and used it to pull the ENTIRE power train in one shot. No thanks, I'll take a 4.3 at the MINIMUM!
Here you go Kevinzuki. I felt the flamage was sweet enough to make it worthy. Mine will be Specialized mountain bike green with bright orange tribals.

Whos rig is that, that is fawkin tight!!

It belongs to Jason Coker. This rig inspired me to ditch the binder and build a long zuk. In addition to looking sweet it works great and has lots of well thought out details...on top of it all he's real nice, and has helped a bunch with my rig....just have plenty of "real" pepsi or corona on hand.

I'm not saying all rigs with shiny paint kick ass. Just the ones that have nothing left to do to them. I won't even post a pic of mine(when I finish it) until a fair amount of trail damage has been acquired. And yes, rocks do look much better with a little color. Who says a rig can't look as good as it works?

All right it is time to start the the judging process so if you have any pic you better post them fast
I didn't think that this many people would want to post pic and get there rig judged, but any way start to post names on who you think has the best rig lets
and let the votes decide
lets see who wins

Hey jims4x4- Are those stock height YJ springs? If so, did you have to do much fender trimming to fit the the 35's? I have TJ flares on mine, too, and know I want to run 35's when I get new tires (few months probably). I want to keep my flares, though, and hopefully I will be able to fit the 35's the way it is now, but I dunno. I've got the TT YJ conversion on mine also and I am currently running 33's with no problems. Just curious what you had to do to fit them. Thanks. ~Steve

yes they are stock yjs, five leafs in the front and four in the rear.It has a 3" body lift that the kid I got it from put on.I had plans of taking it off ,but the bumpers and nerf bars are welded on and I kinda like it on 35's.If I geta set of 2.5" OME springs then I will prob take it out despite the pia of taking the bumpers off.Right now ,so far it does not rub and I cant see any signs of fender trimming

:) All in fun John.

I would drive the LWB that far if I could get it into a good enough condition to do that kind of driving. I wouldn't do the 18 hours to the North Sydney ferry in one blast though. It would probably take longer than 18 hours with that truck anyway...

I need to get a really reliable truck going and take 2 months to do the cross country thing. That is one of our dream vacations. Also one of the reasons I am really pro dual purpose.

What does the winner win?

Chubby1
03-28-2002, 04:36 PM
I didn't really plan anything for the winner it was just for fun mostly But I have a good idea. You know how they do a write up every month or so on vehicles and product reviews well why not talk to the people in charge and try to get them to feature a rig that someone on the board owns and that we all pick. Every month or every couple of months we do another poll and see who has the best rig. then do a write up on it. That way every joe blow has a Chance to win, you don't just need the nices rig to enter and you don't have to have the nices rig to win. All you have to do is own a suzuki. So any suzuki from the early first suzuki ever made to the modern ones that are make today. If anyone would like to do something like this let me know

And now The WINNER IS MUD LITE
You got the votes and Just to say I have never saw or heard of a Sammie doing a tractor pull with 20,000pounds and pulling it 210feet now that is impressive I must say

Florida yup! U know we have the poll vote and U can put up to 6 rigs in the poll:) com awn guy, get a clue:flipoff2: I had no indacation this was the vote page, since we need to see who to vote for 1st.....

Chubby1
03-29-2002, 12:54 PM
first off just remember this is all just for FUN:flipoff2: any way if everyone wants to put up some more pics and have another go at it,
then we will but this it how we so do it
1) top 4 rigs you think are the best
2) put beside each rig what place you think it shoud get
3) The winner will be decided by the # of 1st place votes they get
Example tom 1st dick 2nd joe 3rd fred 4th
4) You can only put up 3 of your best pics

I will make 2 new thread 1) Cast Your Votes
2) Post your pics
now you can vote in one section and see all the pics to vote from in another. It doesn't make things so difficult this way
and last if you can't post you pic again then just use the ones that are all ready in this section

Thanx Chubby

Here are a couple pics of mine. One of these days, I'll probably wind up rolling it and crunching the hardtop like Mudlite, and wind up hacking the top off like he did. But in the meantime, it remains a hardtop body with 95% Zuk content.

Geoff, how do you like those flares?

I love them! They allowed me to fly around through the goo all weekend and hardly get any mud on me, even with my doors off. They'll also keep the cops off my back. And I personally think they look so darn cool.

I would like a better mounting system, something that would make them instantly removable for hardcore trail use. That would be better than just ripping them off on a rock. However, they do mount very securely. I was scraping them against rocks and dragging them through the dirt walls of Tank Trap and other obstacles, and they held on just fine, so I'm pretty pleased with them.

Also, they are essentially indestructible. They're not made from potato chips and eggshells like previous extended flare designs. Mash these all you want, you can't break 'em!

Yeah, Chris Meredith was saying they were good flares and that he liked his but that the mounting system was a little cheesey because they weren't originally meant to be Sam flares (YJ?).

Sounds like they work well. Something for my to do list.

Oilburner & CSR... Kevin Walker finally got his website (http://www.crazyoffroad.com) started. Here's a pic of his Zuk.

I never did get to see it work - he moved to NC right after he finished re-building it with the D44s, YJs, and 37s. Like the front tire cutting we did?

He told me that he puts it there to get him to the trails then he puts it inside? That would be an interesting feat with a Zuk.

Where do you strap a 60" Hi-lift anyways??????

i dunno..... once or twice i've put my 48" inside, but it was a pain.
i would LIKE to put mine inside out of the elements, (and prying eyes/sticky fingers) but haven't seen a place or mounting position i like yet.
( that's easily accessable but not in the way or potentially a death spear.:D )
any good ideas out there?:)
