I'm very happy with my front D44 ARB and was thinking of going with an ARB in the rear after swapping in the 9", but heard today that they have some problems. Anyone experienced any??? Considering that it's a rear end, realiability is a main concern, so if the ARB's have issues, I'm going to go with another spool, they're cheap and bullet proof. Who runs ARB's, what do you run them with?? Mine's going into a yota on 37's with a full width D44 front, swapping in a 350/th350/np205/D20 to my new full width 9" rear w/ disc brakes.

I grenaded my 8.8" arb running the stock 4.0V6 in my Ranger and little 33s. I don't know how the 9 arb compares, strength wise.

I now run a Detroit.

I've never run one in the rear, but I know a few people who had some probs with their 9" ARB leaking air....but I belived ARB re-designed the 9" locker and it seems people have been happy with the newer locker....Either way I'd spool it.

Yup, the (thinking 3rd gen) of the ARB came out like 5 years ago, leaked like bastard!
but then like 2-3 years ago they fixed, i had the first style that leaked, ARB gave , yes gave me the new style and i have had it for a while with no problems

Thanks guys, it'llb e spooled for now, I've ahd my toy rear end spooled for about 6 months now and other than a little extra tire wear and the truck leaning when I park it, I don't mind it. I was just thinking of maybe putting one in this summer, to make it a little more street friendly since I mostly drive around town, a lot of slow turns. Which, as thsoe of us with spools know, that's where they shine. I'm used to teh strange looks now.
