if you want to see a cool Scrambler, go to an Israeli website of jeep vehicles manufacturer called AIL. this is an Israeli manufacturer of jeeps which are based on the Scrambler frame & wheelbase.[URL]http://www.ail.co.il[URL]

it's a 103.5" wb jeep with Wrangler components. it is called Storm M-240 and it is one hell of a jeep.

they have a long version and a short version, both with the same wb. there are a few models and i'm sure you'll like one of them as a good base model for what you plan.

BTW, the Frog was at the begining of it's life, a 1992 long version of the Storm M-240the frog (http://www.thefrog.alloffroad.com).

hope you'll like it

thanks guys for the warm welcome.

Steve N = i hope i wo'nt need anything, but i'll wait untill i hear if i'm in or not.
coming to think of it, why should i bother to bring all the stuff and tools from Israel if i can make some sort of arrangment with a local shop?!
tell me if it's it's o.k. with you and i'll let you know what equipment, tools & spare parts we will be needing. it seems to
be a good idea.

cutter = this vehicle is called "TOMER" and it is actually a vehicle designed for moving fast through tough terrain by special units.
it is not a trail vehicle, so to speak, because it has it's limitations. it cannot runn bigger wheels then what you see in the pics(max 33"), because of it's dual back suspension which does'nt allow enough space for bigger wheels.
it also uses independent suspension (a-arms) with short travel. you can see it in the picture you put on your message - the left front wheel is in the air and the travel is clearly very limited.
this is not portal a axle. it a special setup which allows the rear
4 wheels to be suspended independently off the main axis while each pair of wheels can go up/down contrary to the other pair's movement.
in short, it is a good vehicle if you want to fool around in high speeds through bumpy terrain.
in an obstacle course kind of event here, it did'nt do too well and the rocks part caused it problems, not to mention the mud part of the course which sucked it's a$$ down.

see you all in Hollister(??)

That red Scrambler is from TrailQuest on Ohio. My buddy bought it off one of the guys there. I think the front axle is a 44 out of a Scout.
It's VERY clean. He wheels that and a Golden Eagle CJ7.

I may just be proving my ignorance, but just out of curiosity, what does Yokahoma have to gain by sponsoring rock crawling? Do they plan on coming out with a decent RC tire soon?

no j.j. i do'nt know about such plans, although they are strong in the local mud/terrain market for up to 35"ers.

BTW- these are NOT r/c competitions; these are the team events which we do only in Israel = take a look at the custom page of my website and you'll find detailes about this kind of competitions.

the YOKOHAMA agent in Israel thinks it brings good business to sponsor vehicles & teams in the team competitions.

obviously the Japanies agree cause each year they come to Israel for those events and even budget the whole league, which is not a simple thing to do and spend.

anyways, as long as they sponsor me, what do i have to complain about, right?the frog (http://www.thefrog.alloffroad.com)
