Ok, i need some options of lifing a bronco. Looking at fitting 38's under there. What is a good lift for it? And where do i go to get them.

"Options?" Your best OPTION is to go SAS, seriously. Esp if you wanna run 38s. Just skip a whole HUGE step and do it now 'cause you'll end up doing it later. If you don't mind running front leafs you can easily get enough lift to clear 38s. Of course you can get huge lift w/coils, too but that's gonna require a little more fab work and I'm thinkin' "mucho fab work" isn't what you're looking to hear. If you can weld either method isn't too hard. In the long run, it'll be no more expensive than a 6" or 8" lift for your TTB w/all the goodies (ext radius arms, Superrunner steering, etc) - well, ok, a D60 front might kill the deal but will pay for itself IMO.

I definitely have to agree. SAS, no question, at least if you're gonna wheel it.

Geeeeeeeeeez. Why don't YOU go back to MBB? :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

Come on, Keith... it's a 92 -- right there in the subject line. Get your sheet together. :D :D

And yeah, I already PM'd him... told him to forget about the POS 8.8 and the even bigger POS TTB. He says they're going to put a TTB kit on it "to save money", and see how that goes. LOL

True enough. Where's your FAQ loser? That'd fix this whole deal! Speaking of, I have front framerails from an '86 F350 torched off just behind the body mounts. Want pics for your page?

Well since it is manly going to be on the road and have a open front diff. I dont see how that will break anything. Not sure about you guys but i have never broken driving on the street.
Also why wont that 8.8 hold up to 38's? My toy with 39's and welded f/r does just fine. And thats only 8" diffs. And a 350.

Well it could be that your "Toy" weighs about 2/3 what a BB does.

or it could be
that your one of those gifted and lucky drivers that never breaks anything when running big heavy tires on little axles

or it could be,
that when you are wheeling in the wally world parking lot, your not hitting the really knarly speed bumps, and there fore not breaking... :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

or maybe all three :p

hmmm can i fit 35's on a 4 inch lift kit?

Daves Bronco SAS used 6 inch front springs nothing hard, and i clearing 37's with a little more triming or a 1-2 inch body lift, 38's would slide on

The trial version of the late-model Bronco SAS page is here. (http://www.2bbdixie.org/d60/) Which... WORKS AGAIN!

Everybody is free to go and read, comment, etc. The info on D44 swaps vs D60 swaps still isn't there, but the bulk of the info on D60s is. Feel free to email me with corrections and comments. I'll incorporate it all into the final version.

And yeah, send me any pics you have. I never made it to the junkyard last week.

Yeah, but isn't that the whole grey area of 6" TTB coils vs 6" solid axle coils? The coil perches add a bit of height over TTB stuff.

Edit: D60 FAQ is back up.

I'd rather have Toy axles than a D44 TTB! It's an even draw on the 8.8 as it gets a bad rap IMO.

Why are you wanting 38's on a rig that will just be driven on the street? Maybe we'll see you featured in Off-Road since they like to feature Show-N-Shine rigs? :flipoff2: Poser-mobile?:flipoff2:

Ya never know it might make it on their. But its not even my truck, its my friends. And will wheel it from time to time but not as much as i wheel mine. Mine is almost all for off road, well once its done. But im sure i will get him to bring it to paragon and maybe a few places around here. But nothing extreme.

gray? nope when you do the SAS swap you gain 2 inchs of lift for it, just because the coils now sit higher on the radius arms

assuming you use the late model upper coil buckets, you gain the 2". The early buckets are taller.

uh huh. :) when I measured mine, when I had both the late model and earlier model on the floor, the early model was very close to 1.5" taller.
