I have seen them direct from a remanufacturer on E-bay.

I just sold a good working one with a BW1356 t-case, drive shafts and cross member for $1300 shipped.

Yeah, they generally bring $1000 or more. I had mine rebuilt for about $1500 and the same problem came back a few weeks after the warranty expired. If I ever decide to fix it again I'll buy the ebay version.
