I have an old snap on ratchet (date code says 1964) This one is one I inherited, and it has a bit of sentimental value to it. I wasnt really using it that hard, just running down a nylock and it bound up. I took the cover off, and I foudn a broken tooth.

I called snap on, and they are going ot call me back tommorow with information. They dont know if I can get a repair kit because its so old.
Part Number is F710LS, 3/8 drive. Does anybody know if the current run of rebuild kits will fit? If they cant get me a rebuild kit, what should I do, and what cna they do for me? Am I just SOL?

thanks

Jim

You can always cruise the pawn shops until you find a duplicate and use it for parts... Kindof an odd idea, parting out a snapon ratchet :D but it would work.

HA! Then you can put the broken bits into the pawn shop ratchet and go get it replaced on full warranty and have your old cool one AND a new spanky one :D

The Older styles you are SOL more than likley they will upgrade you into a new unit I would Stop onto a Snap On truck and see if he can rob parts from a new style to fix your old style.
I had this happen to a torque wrench
and upgraded:D

They will warranty/replace the entire ratchet but with sentimental value that does not work. Make sure you explain to them that the ratchet must not be replaced and hopefully they can get you the parts.
