OK - didn't find the answer to this one doing a search here or on jeep's site - does the 4:1 transfer case in the Rubicon still use a slip yoke or is it a fixed output?
Also - how much lift can a Rubicon unlimited take before needing to drop the transfer (or lift engine) or do a SYE kit? Thinking of buying a new one, running 1.75" spring spacers and a 1" BL and 255/85R16's (33") until the warranty runs out... Thoughts on that setup?

They do not have a slip yoke. You can lift an unlimited a long ways before worrying about the t-case drop.

Fixed, get a cv shaft, set the pinion angle correct.

Flange yoke, no slip yoke.
There is a guy here that did a 3.5" lift and a T-case tuck on his LJ, that wound up with about 6" of lift (from the driveshafts perspective) and is still on the factory DS and claims no vibs. I would want to check the angles, thats gotta be getting close, but it seems to work.
That setup should be fine, but I would go to 285s at least if you are going to drop the $$ for tires.
