Thanks

In 1969 (http://www.birfield.com/~morgan/images/print/69_full-line-2-md.jpg) it was 3420lbs for the FJ40 hard top and 4130lbs for the FJ55.

Thanks Morgan,

Any guesstimate of what the 60 might be?
I'm thinking less than a 55 but could me wrong!

I was under the impression that the 55's weighed somewhere around 5400 lbs... This was just brought up over on the ih8mud forum, but we couldn't put an exact number on it. I guess the best way of figuring it out would be to look through the factory literature, like what Morgen has. 4130, Hmmm...

How bout a 45 wagon? That seems like it would weigh even more than a pig...

Last time I took my 55 to the dump, it weighed 5700lbs.

I found a weight for the Japanese-spec FJ60: 4178lbs. It looks like later 55s weighed more. (F versus 2F?) A 1980 Japanese BJ41 is 3670lbs and a 1980 FJ56 is 4276lbs.

An FJ56 is Japanese for an FJ55 with a 2F.

It's prety simple to make a good guess on a stock cruiser. Just read the gross vehicle weight listed on the ID tag , then subtract the max weight allowed, which for an FJ40 is around 700LBS, so say it said GRVW is 4250, subtract the 700LBS and you get = 3550LBS.
