Who has them, who likes them, who makes the best? I have 4500 sq feet to heat so directional heat is my best bet.

Thanks!

I like these units. No smoke and very little odor.Needs some ventilation.Warms up the workspace in a hurry.

Should be available locally too.

Uses diesl,kero,stove oil

we have them in the bay at my fire station, dont know who makes them, dont know which ones are best. BUT the ones we have are fawkinf bad a$$!. We are talking 3 door double bay drive through with probably 45 foot ceilings and two of these heaters probably 15 foot long each heat that bay to temps so high it makes you want to run around in your underware!:shaking:

all this heater talk has me considering this for my small shop/studio. It is REALLY drafty, and my propane convection doesn't seem that effective. Do infrared in general work better in this type of space?

I have a combustion research omega II unit in my shop. Couldn't be happier with it. http://www.combustionresearch.com

Bought it from this guy. http://www.iheats.com/Productpages/tradhtg.htm

He was very good to deal with and no one could touch his prices.

I am looking at the combustion reasearch units, can you give me some idea how big your shop is? What size unit you got, length, BTU. Is the heat directional or will it warm the whole shop.

Thanks for the information..

We've got one in the shop I work at....thing is bad ass - heats up the shop from 50 to 70 in roughly 30 mins and keeps it there all day no problem....
