i just got a 6 piece DeWalt cordless combo kit(1st picture). through a rebate i can get another tool for free. i have to choose from the following:
-radio charger
-wet/dry vac
-cutout tool
-cutoff tool(comes in the kit)
-portable weet/dry vac
-impact wrench
-jig saw(2nd picture)
-swivel head & shear(3rd picture)
-metal cutting circular saw
-cordless screwdriver

Im leaning towards the jig saw or the swivel head and shear. anyone have any experiences with either. i was thinking definatly the shear but i have a sawsall and if i get the jig saw, i can put a metal blade in it and use it on metal. i know the jig saw is a $250 unit at lowes. not sure on the price of the shear.

any opinions???

The shear looks cool.Wonder how long the battery will last?

The radios are great for camping.Plug tham into a generator for an hour or so in the morning and you've got pretty good tunes with a better than average reciever battery powered.Durable too.

You already have the capability to cut metal, to be able to do more things I would go for the impact gun

impact... only if its 3/8 or 1/2 square... dont go for one of those gay 1/4 hex deals they try to pedal

It really depends.. do you NEED any of those other tools? If not, what I'd do is get the most expensive one and sell it on Ebay.

im sure its the impact driver, not a true impact wrench.

impact drivers are awesome if you build a lot of decks :)

if you do any woodworking get the jigsaw. i love my cordless jigsaw.

if you do mostly metal working then get the shears. i used to work for a mechanical contractor, and my guys used that exact unit. they went to town in it all night long and changed batteries every 3-4hrs cutting spiral duct and other assorted sheet metals. its a nice tool.

im sure its the impact DRIVER not a real impact gun. if you build a lot of decks then its great, otherwise get something else.

i used to work for a mechanical contractor, and we issued those exact shears to our workers. they worked great, and the batteries lasted 3-4hrs of pretty hard use. they were cutting light gauge spiral duct and other light-med gauge sheet metal. nice unit.

fwiw, i love my cordless jigsaw.

It may be the most :rainbow: of all those options, but the cordless ONLY vac comes with a battery and works awesome. The cord/cordless is $99 w/o the battery, but was a little too big for me.

I use the vac all the time.

I just bought the same set last month, I got the jigsaw with the rebate, sold my cordless light and impact driver on e-bay and went and bought the radio charger

it is an actual impact wrench. 1/2" drive with 300 lbft torque

looks like so...
