Should be a Torque Monster. They put them in 3/4 ton and bigger trucks. Clifford Performance has Cams, Intakes, Headers, Etc.. for them.

They are a helluva motor! Really! My dad has a 66 Chevy C60 truck, no bed, just cab and chassis w/ 5th wheel. It's really impressive to say the least. Here's the only picture I could find. We use it to pull around our backhoe, and TD9 Dozier. It does the job fine, IMHO. There use to be a local around here, that had a 292 in his 65 Chevy II. I don't know what all was done, but his car sure was pretty quick. He told me he bought all of his performance parts from Clifford.

454 needs to go in the Blazer. You'll be a lot happier. Hell, get a stroker kit and make it a 496.:D

Yeah the 454 will end up in the Blazer sometime.Just need to find some time to build it.Getting warm out now so it is wheeling time.Blazin:rasta:

ive got a 292 in a Landcruiser that i just love. The only downside to a 292 is that building horsepower gets pricey. But if you can live with the 250lbs of torque and a couple hundred horses- its just great for a rig. And you gotta love the sticker price of a used one.......under 100bucks.

check out inliners.org or clifford for more info.

Figure it should work good in the heep. I already have the chevy to jeep bellhousing.Going to keep the stock 3 speed and t-case for now.Would like to find a 4 speed sometime. Will need to make motor mounts but this is no problem.I need to get the heep going so I can start wheeling it.Blazin:rasta:
