Looks pretty sweet. I am taking my Zuk down for maintenance, my rebuilt motor is leaking like the Exxon Valdez. While I am in there the A/C is coming out and I was thinking about moving the P/S pump down lower like that. Got any more pics of the brackets or did you just build it on the block?

I built the flat plate to bolt to the 4 holes off the side of the block
so I would have a flat surface to work off of then used some chevy Alt. brakets cut and bent as nesc. to make it work Il check to see what other pics I got for ya.:D

Hey RockRat,

Were you able to use the factory lines?

Also, do you have a pic of the Inside part of the frame where you bolted the gearbox on? Were you able to use any of the existing holes?

Thankx -

Celica. It looks a little shorter than the one shown. I was mainly interested in how the pump was tensioned. I made an idler pulley so I could set the belt tension with a bolt, but my setup has a lot less of the belt wrapped around the P/S pulley due to my A/C compressor.

AZ-You can make one like this for a Celica, and since the bolts in the pump body arent offset (like the ifs) its easier to make. Two pivot tabs off of the plate and a place to attach the tensioning arm, thats it. I think this sort of tensioner is a lot simpler than the whole idler puller setup most use. Gozuki posted pics of mine a week or two ago.

Nice job Rockrat!

Oilburner yes i used the factory lines that came with the box and pump. I'l take a shot of the inside frame for you tonight and no I did not use any of the factory holes Had to move the pump forward quite a bit to keep the draglink parrallel with the tie rod.
And at the same time since the box sits on the outside of the frame the sector shaft and pitman sit right above the spring I made the new pitman arm sit as tight to the frame as possible I'm going to have to take some good measurements and put the appropriate length bump stop up there so I dont rip the piman arm off or bind it up under compression. If you look at any earlier pics youl'll see that when I did the S/R my front frme ext. I have cut to make them come straight off the front instead of following the angle of the stock frasme rail so it's a little tight up there.

Scwafish Thanx

Geez you got THAT right! Fabbing the bracket(s) for my IFS pump were bad enough, let alone dealing with those damned offset mounting tabs :barf:
