Hi All,

I recently bought a '75 Landcruiser FJ45. The previous owner fitted an overhauled 2F engine, but closer inspection shows that she (yes..) forgot to connect various sensors.
The only manual I could get my hands on is the Haynes one, but this doesn't go into that kind of detail. I counted about three loose female connectors, and one definitely is the oil pressure sensor, because this is always stuck on "low" (the motor is running fine, so the oil pressure is actually ok).

Does anyone know where I can get hold of a schematic or something that points out all the locations of the various sensors? BTW, the water temp. sensor is working fine, but after extensive crawling around, for the life of me I can't find the sensor!

Thanks,
Stephan

Oil sender is down on the side of the engine, number 20 in this link.

Temp sender is on the top, number 26 in the schematic at the very bottom of this page.

try to find a factory rapair manual on ebay. they come up a lot and should cost you $10-20. not sure how much it would cost to ship that to africa but it'll be worth it.....

On the early 2Fs, you had the option of a factory bung that was still located in the oil galley on the driver's side of the block a few inches up from the oil pan deck. The galley is a horizontal bulge that runs the length of the block, interrupted by a diamond shaped boss where the regulator would have mounted on an F engine.

Oil sender could also be located facing down at a diagonal from the oil filter bracket [non oil cooler model] or facing directly out from the oil cooler.

Temp sensor should be on the top of the cylinder head, driver's side, near the back.

FJ45s ROCK!!!!!!
