Is there a Quadrajet that would work ok on a 4.3? I'm thinkin' about putting a 4.3 in one of my Toys for mud, and want to keep it as simple as possible. If not a QJ, what other carbs work good off-road on a 4.3?

look on ebay for TBI manifolds, or go with a gm performance 4 barrel manifold

2 bbl rochester 2G is a foolproof carb, they work as good as anything else. It should be plenty of carb for that size engine.
I have 1 on a 454 and it gets me around.

I put an '86 4.3 in a Chevy LUV 8 years ago and it had a factory 4BBL hi-rise intake. I used a Q-Jet off an '81 350 with the electric choke and no other electronics, worked great. It also had tubular exhaust manifolds that resembled shorty headers. Get an intake off an '86, or trade me your TBI setup for my carb setup.
