Hi from Norway

My first posting:D
Maybe I should have posted this on another place????

Just got this vehicle

http://www.offroad.no/?Page=Rig&Mode=View&RID=1648

When I tried to find some info on it,with the help from this link:
http://www.analogx.com/contents/vinview.htm
this was what showed up:

Description Position Raw Data Decoded Data
Region: 1 1 North America
Country: 1-2 1G U.S.A.
Manufacturer: 2-3 GN Chevrolet
Model Specific: 4-8 GK26F Unknown
Check Digit: 9 2 Valid
Year: 10 R 1994
Assembly Plant: 11 J J
Serial Number: 12-17 372566 372566

Why does it says "unknown" on the line: Model Specific
Is it because it it was exported, a Starcraft model or what?
Does anyone know....

Thanks

as near as I can figure(using 81-87 numbers)
g - brakes 8001-9000 hyd
k - 4 wheel drive
2- 3/4 ton
6 - body type, asumming 6 is for a burb
f - engine, again I'll assume 6.5
I could be close or not:smokin:  :skull:

You should have RPO codes(options) in the glovebox (pocket)door which will list all the options your truck has. Your best bet is to go to "the diesel page.com". They have a list of all the RPO codes, but it is probably in the member section. It would probably be a good idea to join since you have a 6.5TD and they can help on mods and repairs for these vehicles.

Thanks for your reply

camo-kazi: Looks kinda right

Think you,72fj40, is right about the optioncodes. Shall examine the glovebox.
Will take an close look into the diesel page.com

Thank you for your help
