: 77 Granada runs...with 302 only $50!!!
Brutpwr 12-13-2005, 04:49 PM 77 Granada 4 door yellow with only around 70000 miles! Has not been used since like 92 or so but was started and run occasionally. Hell the last time I had it running one of the radiator hoses blew up when the engine started to heat up. So now I know the hoses all need to be replaced! This is a 302 small block with a 2 barrel carb and automatic transmission. Lots of good parts. I stole the battery out of my Toyota truck and its starts a bit weak but starts the Toyota fine so its best to jump start or bring a battery. One tire was replaced as it dry rotted and would not hold air and one other tire has the tread begining to separate/rot off so it needs another tire there too! Engine was running good until the last time I ran it--was running a bit rough I think the carb may have a passage blocked--seemed to be running on one barrel of the carb starving some cylinders for gas... I put some carb/fuel cleaner in the tank along with some gas and that seemed to make it worse so it will need a carb clean for sure! Car was parked as it was my Moms extra car and a self service gas station attendant put engine oil in the tranny when it was low on engine oil so the car has been parked ever since. Tranny still works fine but has some engine oil in it. I tried once to pull the tranny pan but could not get it off as the exhaust crossover is right under the pan so I bolted it back on and now the transmission cover leaks a bit. Car is complete and has a flawless low miles yellow/tan colored cloth interior. Engine would be great for a buggy etc. Only asking $50--just for my time, gas, gas treatment, tire and mounting, battery reimbursement etc... Car will need to be trailered as brakes are weak...fluid was empty so I topped it off and I'd guess it needs to be bled. Lost pink slip but my Mom is going to the DMV in the next few days to get tags for her Tahoe so she may have a junk slip if thats any cheaper...I don't think the car is the DMV system anymore as I don't think it was ever non-oped.

sprtn79bronco 01-11-2006, 07:15 AM wouldn't you be better off sending it to the metal scrap yard or a junk yard?
Brutpwr 01-11-2006, 07:54 PM That would be easiest and I do have a car trailer... Car does run so I just figure if someone wants it for parts to make a driver then I don't even have to trailer it at all!

RustoleumWhite 01-18-2006, 04:14 PM If you do end up scrapping it, I'd love to have the spindles and rotors off that thing. Just what my '57 ford needs :bounce:
I'd give you $50 for the effort of ripping them off and I'd spring for freight.
If your intrested, drop me an e-mail or PM.

Brutpwr 01-21-2006, 02:45 PM Sorry, I don't want to "part this out". If I still had my shop I'd take it there and help you out but I just don't have the room to store a parted out car until I can dispose of it right now. I have enough stuff that won't move under its own power as it is. This one is complete and will drive onto a trailer to its new owner or scrap/junk yard! Heck if I had the space I'd probably just keep it for a future engine swap project. TTT!

89s rule 01-23-2006, 11:42 AM why not donate it to a charity?
Camarogenius 01-23-2006, 12:24 PM Oh, come on!!! Someone must want to slap that body on a big bronco frame and go crawlin!!!!:goofball: :bender: :massey:
Brutpwr 01-24-2006, 07:32 PM May donate if no one wants it. Main hold up with getting rid of it is that I figure I will need to tow it some place and my trailer is in the back yard. Thats not a big problem except it has been raining quite a bit lately and my front lawn is very soft right now. I would not get stuck but I would have to fill in some ruts when it dries out. I have tried donating other old cars before and basically none wanted to pick it up if its old--I really think these guys resell them so if they aren't worth much they don't really want to have to pick them up--Actually have had them tell me I'd have to pay them to pick them up! It's free if someone needs parts to put a Ford engine in another car or truck so there are all the accessories, brackets etc which are all still good. TTT!

No worries, I totaly understand (BTDT). If you were in WA and not CA I'd come and pick itup myself.
O-well, if you do end up loading it up to haul to the scrapper, or have a hulk-hauler pick-it up, or if someone else comes by and hauls it away for the motor, I'd still be intrested if you/they wanted to cut those spindles off. Heck you could even just take the torch to the a-arms, that would work :D
good luck.
