I have my front toyota axle torn all the way down for a rebuild and while I was cleaning the inner knuckle to put in knuckle bearings in I noticed some pitting. Should I try and sand this out or just clean it up. I assume that small amounts of grease will make it's way out past the wiper seal if I just leave it.

Thoroughly degrease the pitted areas, fill them in with JB Weld and then sand
smooth. That's as good as you can make a pitted knuckle.

Thought about filling them with some mig welds but I like your idea better. Thanks........sometimes I make things more difficult than they really are.:)
