Searching didnt come up with anything but the Mighty Kong and Forrester T-case skids.
Anyone know anything about the RR System? I like the price :grinpimp:

RR's "beefed up arm" system...$124.00

Rockrats DIY "Full bucket protection" kit...$115.00

If you really want to take care of your t-case...it's a no brainer.

your forrest bucket looks like a fine skidplate/bash guard. it is welded or bolted to the stock arms, so does it do anything to stiffen the mounts and prevent breaking of the rubber isolators with the added torque of low gears?

Remember stock arms tweak, look at how thin they are. I like everything new and thicker than stock with t-case protection. Thats why I love my Mighty Kong. And I saved a bunch of money on car insurance by not insuring it through geico.

i have the forrest bucket with the stock arms and i can not tell you how many times i have landed on it in the rocks or even high centered myself on it and just spun around with all the weight of the sami on it, and its still going strong. All i upgraded were the rubber mounts with the kit from spidertrax

It is welded to the stock arms that have been beefed up. IT pics up 11 points on the case to spread the load. as for the mounts I dont care for bolt through poly, inevdably you are still pulling on a bolt. I like new rubber stock mounts. As for design, well again it is Bill Forrest that created it. We just make it and expanded with the DIY for the guys that all ready have beefed arms.

To answer the original question, the RRO arm is beefy and does what it was designed to do (stay straight). Here is the original writeup I did on it years ago... (you may recognize the photos, RRO still uses them on their website)

*Edit*
Also, the original name was the Superbeef Transfer Case Arm, looks like he has changed the name. That may be why your search didn't find it.

I went with the TT bucket myself after my short arm ripped itself in half.

Since I didn't have any intact or straight stock mounts, I went with one that replaces the whole mounts.

I would go with either the TT bucket or with RockRat's setup. The only reason I didn't go with RockRat's setup was that I had no stock arms to supply

I'm not much for plugging RRO, but i've used their arm for a few years now and i've never had any issues with it. I run 6:1 gears also.

you should really tie both of your arms together with a bucket design. The cast aluminium can't take much abuse. You'll need to really beef up your stock arms to use them. I use the stock arms that were orig. beefed by TT then did my own DIY forrest type bucket(it was before tey offered a DIY kit). you could also buy or build some aftermarket beefed arms. After all that a few years down the road you'll need to beef up you tcase frame mounts so you might as well just do it while your doing the bucket.

I've been running the RR set up with 6:5to1 t-case gears for over a year now with no problems!

I made a seperate skid plate - removes some of the "extra" forces on the t-case. now the arms don't have to resist that force.
