this one is really starting to piss me off. theres a leak that drips water onto my clutch petal, soaking my foot. normally not a big deal, well i installed my CB there so needless to say this isn't good. has anyone else had this problem, any idea where the problem is. i already tried to fix it but obviously didn't work right.
Also, i got some new zuki axles to replace my bent ones, wondering what is the best way to go spoa again. is it true that unless you box the perchs like RRO offers, that it will bend the tubes. any suggestions will be helpful, thanks

just buy the RRO perches. save yourself some time. i did mine homemade and did two others RRO style and was pleased with the ease! i did mess up my housing slightly but not boxing at first, then i redid it and repaired what i could so things are alright now. if you do go homemade please box your stuff!! zuki axles are by no means stout!!

i got that same leak. it comes in from the the drain in front of the windshield. if you cover it no more leaks. really sucks on cold rainy days when your left foot is soaked in water huh? :flipoff2: i know the feeling all to well.

NO box style perches are not manditory the box style like RRO sell's just make it a little easier to weld cause the tabs reach the stock perch on the bottom so less heat is applied to the axle rather the inverted stock perch. any good 1/4" steal perch will work the Question is how is your weding ability. and as far as zuk axles housings not being stout thats bullshit there is no reason for it to fail if welded on correctly. and not abused

the problem ,I'm told is thin walled axel housings that will crack around the welds ....boxing takes the stress off. mine leaked so i welded the cracks and boxed them.....it still sweats, but never drips.........:D

Well the stock ones are welded on! But you have to be good. The tube either .10 or .09 inches. Thats thin. I made mine just like tim hardies that RRO sells I dont want to weld on the tube. If you want to see if the tube is damaged, look inside for small spiderweb cracks where you welded it. If there are some, it got too hot.
