Yiiiihawwww - finally got my star!!!!!!

I scored a set of 55 axles and tore them down last weekend. The front axle has had some water in it and has not been used (engaged) for a while. The result is a pretty good diff with a bit of corrosion. Can I use it as is? The pic shows the worst pitting.

I have been running a diff in the rear of my pickup with an ARB for about 4 months that looked just like that and have had no probs.

I thought it would be OK. The rest of the diff in in VGC. Surprising for something thats been there for 30 years. It is a Toyota though!

LOL, run it! It'll wear off! Thats prety common for a diff that sat for awhile.
