I’m wondering if it is a necessity to run a fuel return line or does it depend on what setup your running? I have the 232 I6, mechanical pump and I’m considering the use of the 2100 Motorcraft carb. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

I would run one just to keep vapor lock down.

Yes, you need a return. The pump will force the fuel into the carb and flood the bowls.

to add to his question, i have a carter afb(same as edelbrock performer) , on a 304, the fuel filter has a return line on it that i have plugged, should i run the return line off that back to the tank. will it make that much of a diiference?

Wow, 123 views and only three people have had any input on this, and the verdict is sort of split. I asked this on another board and also got an even split of people using and not using return lines. It sounds like the only advantage may be to keep vapor lock from occurring. Anybody else using the MC 2100 with no return line?
