Alright all I was told this is the place for some
good opinions on my spring Question. So lets hear it. I want to know If I can use my old rancho 2.5
rear springs for the 1/4 elliptic setup. I am going to cut the springs at a 60/40 split and add whats left over to the end I'm using the long side, plus I am going to add 1 extra leaf between the main and the second, because the secondary spring is about 5" shorter than the main and I need somthing to back up the main leaf. The CJ stands on an SOA now and works well but I want to have some more stability on the rear. I would rather try this out and have it not work at all before I go and buy new springs time is cheap.

And stop cross posting between here and the gen tech section.

Edit: Nevermind, it wasn't you who did the crossposting. But don't you do it either. :flipoff2:

It was a smartass comment that apparently went over your head.

He meant use the search feature. The button is up and to the right. Learn it, live it, love it.

Try these (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=92849&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending)

I just dropped your "1/4 elliptic rear springs" subject line into the search and found some good stuff.

Lance runs this board. He's everywhere. Putting his name in a search is like putting the word THE into a search.

Freakin' DAN Get with the program.
