i have had my new toy for a few weeks now but just got a camera and thought i'd show it off:D
rhinland arms r22
it uses an ar trigger group and grip, 10-22 bolt and magazine, hk stock and their own machined aluminum reciver, hand guard and full floating 4140 barrel.
i have not shot mine yet but have heard they still have a few bugs to work out. i have some plans before i even bother shooting it. i am looking into california assault weapon laws to see what i can and can't do with this. i think that rim fires are exempt from the aw ban but need to make sure. the barrel is 16.5" long. i want to cut it down and permenatly attach a flash hider making the over all barrel length 16"
i just assumed that it had a 1913 picatinny rail but it is a weaver rail. this is my fault as it clearly states it has a full length weaver rail. i was hoping to be able to use the different sights i have for my ar but they don't fit. in the pictures i have my aimpoint/arms mount mounted to the rifle. the fit is not acceptable. i will have to find a dedicated sight for the r22. i am thinking about an eotech holosight but i will have to check into the mounting system.

Why not just get a Weaver mount for the Aimpoint? Seems like a much less expensive way to go.
cause he wants to mount his other toys to it :flipoff2:

the aimpoint needs to stay on the picatinny mount for my baby:

Did you buy the AR and USP Tactical before the ban? I hate you!

every time i post a picture of one of my guns you hate me:flipoff2:
yea, got them before the ban. the tactical had the threads removed from the barrel so it didn't have to be registered as an aw. i did register the ar as an aw. now that the fed aw ban has sunsetted and my ar is a ca registered assault weapon, i have some plans for the ar. i am going to add the deadly flash hider and bayonet lug. we all know how much deadlier a weapon is with a flash hider, and bayonet lug. i get goose bumps just thinking of it...:shaking:

I still say you need to leave CA and turn that .22 into an SBR with a suppressor. :D

if i leave california then the libs won. i am not leaving my home for anyone.
but yea, it would be a cool sbr. i would love to machine off about 4-1/2" of the hand guard and 8-1/2" off the barrel. this would make it about 27" oal, real close to a mp5.

oh, and i only wish on the mp5, it's an airsoft:p

you got any more imfo on this? i have a box of dark brown rit. that would look swell wouldn't it?:flipoff2: . have you seen a dyed polymer gun or have any links to pictures of this done? i also wonder what the red and white labeling on the gun would look like after dying.

I got one upstairs that I dyed. It "was" a grey SW9V that I dyed OD green with a mix of different colors.
http://www.ritdye.com/color_recipes.asp
mind you your base color will make a diffrence.
Put large pan on stove big enuf to cover the part(s), fill with enough water to cover the part(s), add dye(s), add 1/2 cup of Kosher salt, at a Tbs of laundry detergent, heat till simmering and then turn down just a little till it stops.
add very clean parts, check color every couple of min, pull just before it looks "right" and wash it off and wait till its COMPLETELY dry and then check to color. re-do if necessary.
black you just dye black till its blackity black, turn off the stove and just leave it there for a while :D
and if it fucks up just send it to the guy to do it black :flipoff2: .

i wish they made my weird dream rifle. lever action, clip fed, ten round 375 h&h. with some ghost ring sights and a 20" or so barrel.

a couple 375 h&h rounds was enough for me out of a friends single shot short barrel thompson carbine. think i would be too much of a puss to fire ten rounds strait. i have shot over 250 rounds of 300 win mag in a two day class with out much issue so i am saying the 375 kicks my ass.

i wanna get an obscene stopper gun for next summer in alaska, i've met people that have put 4 375 rounds in brown bears and they were still moving, i kinda like a good insurance policy, and hell, a bruised shoulder is better than a dead me.

do you know how big of a slug you can get for a 12 guage? i wanna try out some of those flame thrower rounds. :smokin:

i like these. i have never been to alaska but hear that these are effective on the bear up there. these do have a bit of recoil out of a light weight short barrel shot gun:D .

1700fps is pretty fast, i have a few boxes of remington rifled 2 and 3/4 slugs, 1 oz. but i think they only push like 1300 fps. they do some serious damage to downed logs, but i think i would want something bigger. you know of anyone that makes custom rifles? that dream 375 h&h would probably be atleast a couple grand but it would be fawkin cool to have the only one like it.
edit: my pump 12 guage is a shorty benelli nova, 18.5 inch barrel. been thinkin about gettin a stainless model since i like em so much.

i don't know if there is enough room to build a 375 hh with one but i have seen a semi auto .300 win mag sniper rifle built out of a browning bar action.
