what is the smallest, lightest, and shortest tranny you guys can think of? i am rigging up a dual tranny buggy and i need the smallest tranny i can find to fit between the tranny and the divorced t case. while climbing through the yards the other day, we found a short 3 speed from a 70s ford car. it had a bolt on yoke on the rear and a ten spline input. my buddie jessie is using it in his zook. but the size was good, i don't want as much weight. i don't care if it is a 3,4 or 5 speed. i have seen some of the older volo trannys and so far that looks to be the smallest. i will have plenty of gear choices with any of the three. so just chime in with what you have had experince with. thanks mike

The high-dollar ultra-shorty 2spd PowerGlide in my buddy's mud-rail is pretty darn short!

And it (finally) lives behind an alcohol injected blown 460.. :D

But it wasn't cheap. Not at all.

But very short. If the last upgrade to the 'glide didn't hold together, he was going to go with a 2spd Lenko - again, because it was short.

A T84 from a flatty. They almost fit into the palm of your hand. The T90 is considered a big upgrade:D
