I'm doing a SOA on the CJ-7 that I'm building up. I'm running RE's SOA springs, Chevy front D44 Scout D44 rear, and 35's(so far). I'm not going to run a shackle reversal. So let me know what your running or recommend.

Brian, I have some RE shackles, boomers and straights. They may be a little longer than you want, I think 4.5"-5". They're your's if you want them.

Figure out the optimal length for your springs and make them. A few lengths of flat bar and a drill aren't exactly rocket science...

I am using MORE's 3/8" boomerang shackles front and rear they work great and they are strong as hell being 3/8" cold rolled steel and zinc plated.

MORE stuff is hard to beat. they over build the shit out of their shackles and motor mounts (all I have ever used from them) which is exactly how I like it.

Aside from the spring choice thats exactly how my CJ7 is set up. Where in NorCal? I'm using some shackle from 4WP, but I'd like to get something different. This maybe a stupid question but what do the boomerang shackles do besides give room for the bumper on the rear of YJ's and keep from letting them kickback? Do the offer a benefit I can't see?

I don't have any idea about the boomer shackles. I'll be checking them out on Friday and will know more then. They are actually my buddy's. I'm up in Castro Valley.
