Alright sorry i have to post this but i dont know jack about cams. The cam shaft on my 79, 304 is worn and we are about to pull it on friday. I was looking into a 4x4 extreme cam from comp cams they gave me these specs:

Intake 210
Exhaust 218
Lift 475
lope seperation 111

Im wondering if this cam will be alright since everything is basically stock including the 2 barrel carb and intake. Also will it idle fine or will i have any problems with it at all??? If you guys have any suggestions id appreciate it. Im just really lookin for alot of torque with no problems. Thanx

Use the 68-231-4 not the 68-235-4 for a stocker

BTW use the .050 specs when comparing specs

Just going by the #'s it looks like a good cam. If you do some mods it will even work better.
