the reason for this is so the driveline will clear the crossmember during articulation. I believe he only puts one on the t case end.

Hey thats not too bad of an idea... I needa do somethin cus my driveline smacks the crossmember and tore up the little boot the driveline shop put on there. I just went and had my drivelines extended and called it good back when I lifted it cus the spacers were bein gay

There you go add more angle with that spacer and get vibes like already posted... Why not just hacke the stock x-member out and rework or get one of our new x-members.. = No more bind.

i started with this setup, too. i think alot of the "experts" here started that way in the beginning. it is not a great suspension setup, but it *is* a starting point. go for it. wheel it for awhile, and then move on to a more expensive suspension that better suits your type of offroading. with 3" death fang shackles, i only ran one 1" spacer in the rear, none up front. no vibes if the driveshafts are phased right, the tires balanced, and the rims true. you will also need a 4 degree shim, a z-bar, and a fresh steering stabilizer up front to keep it in a straight line on the fwy. not all of us are loaded rich, and not all of us are entering competitions. play around with your zook, have fun with it, and six months from now, you will be throwing the stock zuk springs away and joining the elitists here. just because that system is crap doesn't mean it's not a viable starting point.

Zbars, bad idea- lots of bumpsteer, 4 degree shim, bad idea, never shim spring. In my opinion that stuff is crap, if it was good you wouldnt need a steering stabalizer. I used a zlink before I knew better. Bad advice in my books.

I'll put one of yours on it if u give it to me :flipoff2: lol, its not that much of a problem, I dont have any spacers on it right now and prob wont put one on but I will eventually do the x-member upgrade. Everything works just fine the way it is, it just tore up the little rubber boot they put on it :shaking:

For this set up should I get the 1" or 2" model?

Ok I need to say just one thing Bull S*it I have 2" longer shackles and a z-link and 2" drive line spacers and Oh yea 34x10.50x15 Superswamper LTB's and I have no Bump steer No Vibrations and I can keep it in a strait line at 65 Mph. I have no Idea where you got this info at but it is wrong. I have been running this setup for 2 years now.

you have bump steer and dont know it. if your steering arm and your
pitman arm are at different hieghts then when you hit a bump, on the
up travel of your susp. your pitman arm goes one way while your axle
tries to go another. BUMP STEER. there is no way you cant have bump
steer with a z-link. the geometry is off. as for the spoa and 3" fangs.
run what you got, becareful, learn what you can and cant do, when
you get some extra cash upgrade to what you think you need.
common sence goes a long way. good luck.

SOA'd my rig, driveline ended up hitting the cross member at full droop.

We just cut a notch out of the crossmember for the driveshaft.
