Im only selling this because I need something to commute back and forth for school. If I could keep it I would. I might consider trades for a newer veichle of equal or more value.
Beautiful frame up restoration. This daily driver runs as good as it looks too. Just about everything has been replaced or rebuilt in the last couple of years. The frame & undercarriage were sandblasted and coated with Por15.
ENGINE & DRIVETRAIN: The 289 engine was professionally rebuilt 19,500 miles ago and has electronic ignition, Edelbrock aluminum intake, Holley 650 4 brl carb & nickel - plated headers. It idles smooth & doesn't overheat. The engine bay was also restored and looks sharp. Air flows through a functioning Torino hoodscoop and 2 week old, brand new true dual Flomaster exhausts. This thing sounds just like an old mustang. Its fun to listen to and its not too loud at all. Auto Meter guages with tach on steering column. Duff's 3 speed & Dana 20 transfer case. Dual tanks work good.
SUSPENSION & BRAKES: 3 1/2" Wild Horses suspension lift with 3" body lift. 75% tread on the 35" Goodyear MTRs on Eagle 589 wheels with matching spare. Dual shocks on front. Traction bars. Disc brakes on front and rebuilt drums on rear. F350 master cylinder. New bushings and steering stabilizer.
INTERIOR: Interior looks solid. Seats are out of a Geo Tracker and have new Bestop seat covers. The rear bench folds & tumbles with ease. CD player and Sony X-Plode speakers custom installed sounds great. Custom steering column & Grant steering wheel. Heat & vacuum wipers work good. The floor is lined. Custom rollbar. Visors.
EXTERIOR: Fairly new Bestop soft top & fairly new blue metallic paint. It has a Wild Horses front winch bumper & a new Wild Horses rear bumper with the swing-out spare tire carrier. Has Gorilla Warflares & rocker panels.
There is no hard top or hard doors with this Bronco. It comes with soft doors but would probably look better with new 2 piece soft doors from Kramer Products or Bestop.
The Top is very easy to take down. The windows all zip up and down properly.
The Bronco is equipied with WIld Horses Fiberglass Door Inserts. These are the only fiberglass on the entire Bronco.
The wheels are polished aluminum.
Title is clear.
This Bronco has traveled all over the southeast and visited several Off-Road parks and local wheeling spots. While it is very capable of handling mild rockcrawling and trail-riding, it has not been abused in any way due to its Value as an Antique ... basically, you dont want to mess up something that looks so good.
Note:
The body on this Bronco is original and in great condition. However, there are imperfections in the front fenders and back panels, but these are simply scars from a long life. If anything, they make this Bronco look even better, more original, and tough. There marks are little wrinkles in the fenders that can only be seen if you you are a foot away or closer and its truely not bad looking at all.
Bronco is sold "as is" . This is not a bad thing! Also, this Bronco has been featured in Bronco Driver Magazine July/August Edition and the Atlanta Nopi National's 2004 magazine where it won second place in its category!
