: Relocate Parking/Emergency Brake Pedal

Most of us EB owners are pretty much accepted the akward position of the 2-vertical post of the front roll bar. The passenger side blocks off the glove box opening. The driver side restricts access to the parking/emergency brake pedal.

I'm planning to put the vertical bars as far outside as I can, but it requires that I relocate the emergency brake pedals.

Has anyone done this before? Is anybody selling a bracket or kit to do the conversion? What about installing a hand brake instead of a foot pedal?

look at late 80s Toyota Pickup or 4runner E-brake setups

Its a handle that you pull, not a pedal. Mount it where ever you need to. On the Toy its on the right side of the wheel.

Hand operated brake is also much nicer starting on steep uphill if you don't have a slushbox. You can ease off the handbrake as you let the clutch out, instead of popping it off all at once like the stupid foot brake forces you to do. Wheeling, it might come in "handy" (bad pun, sorry) even with an automatic.

a buddy of mine with an early '66 model EB used a hand brake lever out of a pinto and mounted it between the seats, He says it works great.
